DAY 01. LABUAN BAJO – TODO – RUTENG (L.D)
Early in the morning we leave LabuanBajo right after breakfast in a private car with A/C to discover the southern part of Manggarai in Todo traditional village, for a trek in the rice terraces, and to enjoy the beautiful landscape near Narang Village. Lunch will be provided at a local family house in Narang. During the afternoon we will head to Golo Cara village. the best place to see ricefields in web spider form. Then we will drive to Ruteng where we will stay one night in Hotel Sinda, or similar. Dinner will be served at the hotel or in a local restaurant.
Day 02. RUTENG – RANA MESE - LABUAN BAJO (B.L.D)
After a light breakfast at the hotel we will drive to Rana Mese, Taman Wisata Alam, a mountainous reserve, impressive with its dense forests and a 21-meter deep crater lake at the altitude of 1220m. Rana Mese is ideal for those who want to explore the Flores highlands by trekking. It is also a perfect place for bird watchers.
After exploring the lake, we will go back to Ruteng for lunch, and from there we will drive back to Labuan Bajo where we will stay overnight in Luwansa Beach Resort.
Diner will be served in the Hotel, or at Brewers Restaurant.
Day 03. LABUAN BAJO - BALI (B.L.D)
After a fabulous breakfast, and packing your luggage, you will enjoy some free leisure time by the pool and the beach until the transfer to the airport for your flight back to Bali.
Flight ticket, Car with driver, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Entrance fee, Guide fee, accommodation (twin share-standard room), mineral water, snack and coffee or tea.
Airport tax, Camera fee, Donation, Alcoholic beverages, Laundry, and other personal expenses
To make the most out of your trip, we arrange your visit with the local rangers. The forest is dense, and the rangers can also provide you with the local knowledge about the flora and fauna of Ranamese.
Rana Mese easily makes for a full-day excursion. Bring a warm outfit, warm drinks, and your favorite snacks to have a picnic under the tree canopy while enjoying the view of the serene lake. During the rainy season, the forest is ornamented with various colorful wild orchids. A good pair of binoculars will come in handy here to get a close-up look at the forest’s exciting flora and fauna along your trekking route.
We encourage visitors to help protect Rana Mese and to follow the code of conduct. Take your waste with you and do not leave anything but footprints. Please respect the fact that fires are strictly prohibited.
Rana Mese is located along the Ruteng–Borong Trans Flores ‘highway’, 27 km from Ruteng and 37 km from Borong capital city of East Manggarai. The lake is easy to find as the gate is very near the main road.
